Ringo and George were/are so unappreciated by Beatles fans. I think they were equally as talented writers as Paul and John, they were just relegated to the back seat. I like seeing George's son in this video with Eric Clapton.

Aware this song was written by George RIP & Ringo in '71/72, but am I the only one that, when I hear this song, immediately thinks of A Hard Days Night [1964] scene where Ringo has a 'time out' alone along a Thames River bank, where he is kicking things & taken photos, on his little camera, of nothing in particular. Think this is to the tune of 'This Boy'??? Ahhhh, the 60's, with the FAB4, never to be repeated. RIP John & Sir George M. [the 5th Beatle].

I bought this album when it came out. Ringo said he was in a band with 3 frustrated drummers.

The real Paul McCartney was so charming. The way he moves, talks and sings in Magical Mystery Tour only two years later is so different from A Hard Day's Night and Help!.

Out of all of the Beatles. Ringo Starr is the nicest and the most kindest persons. He is in his early 80’s and you do not hear anything negative throughout his life. And if you did, it was when he was a Beatle. He is just a good man. Cheers to Ringo Starr.

The song spins regularly in the soundtrack I have in my head. I keep hearing a 5 note horn run in this song that I am sure I recognize from Tina Turner's version of Proud Mary. I wonder if they shared a horn player in the studio. I came here to see if it was there and it is. Next I'll go listen to Tina and then I'll research to see if they shared trumpet players.

I have a theory that George could be one of Vivian Stanshall's doubles. We all know Billy was the creator behind the character. But George looks very similar to "Viv" here.
